Yosemite National Park Map And Directions To Yosemite

See My Interactive Yosemite Maps!

I want to provide you with a Yosemite National Park Map and driving directions to get you to Yosemite. Looking at a map of California, you will find Yosemite just north and east of the very center of California. Looking at the map of Yosemite National Park I want you to take note that there are three ways to enter this national park.

Yosemite National Park address for GPS: The coordinates for your gps unit for Yosemite are:

N37° 44.400

W 119° 34.76

If you find your gps does not match up with road signs when you are in Yosemite, then I advise you to follow the road signs. I find that GPS directions can sometimes be wrong in Yosemite. You can also put in "Yosemite Valley" or "Tuloumne Meadows" or "Wawona" for directions.

~The South Entrance on Highway 41. Going this route you will pass through the cities of Oakhurst and Fish Camp. From the park gate to the valley is 45 minutes. The elevation on this route climbs 3,000 to 6,000 feet. You will pass by the Wawona Hotel and Pioneer Village. This is my favorite route because it gives you the beautiful tunnel view that is on all the postcards!

My above picture shows what it looks like going into the tunnel.

And this picture is what you see when you come out of the tunnel!

~The Highway 140 Arch Rock Entrance. From the city of Merced to Yosemite is about 80 miles. On this route you will go through the cities of Mariposa and El Portal. I clocked it and from the gate to the valley is about 20 minutes.

~Big Oak Flat Entrance on Highway 120.

From the city of Modesto to Yosemite is 88 miles. You will pass through the cities of Groveland and Big Oak Flat. The elevation climbs from 3,000 to 6,000 feet. When I drove this route, it to me only 30 minutes from the gate to get to the valley.
