Yosemite National Park Lodging At Housekeeping

Yosemite National Park Lodging has several choices available to you. There is a place to stay for every level of comfort that you desire. No matter where you stay in Yosemite, you will have breathtaking views.

Housekeeping is the name of a lodging place to say in Yosemite. This is an interesting place to stay, and not my favorite. This lodging consists of permanent tents. The tents have built in bunk beds. Each tent has three permanent canvas sides with the forth side being a canvas shower curtain to close off the tent. Each campsite has a covered patio area, a cooking and dining area, a bear locker to keep your food in, a table and a fire ring.

There are bunk beds in each tent, but you must bring your own linens or sleeping bags. There is two bunk beds on one wall and one bunk on the other wall. This lodging is right on the Merced River. It is open in the Spring and Fall months only. Since it is on the water, expect mosquito's in the summer and bears freely walk through these campsite! These campsites cost $64 a night plus tax (plus $5 per person over the age of 4).

If you are one who likes to camping but doesn't like to set up the tent...this is the perfect choice for you! This is camping in Yosemite National Park without having to go through the hassle of setting up your tent!

There is publicly shared showers, a laundromat and a store at Housekeeping. Please keep all your food in the bear lockers. There are bear lockers at each campsite.
