Everybody wants to stay inside the national park, and I don't blame
them. But certain times of the year, it is nearly impossible to get a reservation
inside of the park. Do not let that discourage you from seeing Yosemite
National Park. With three different entrances into

Yosemite, there are a number of places to stay nearby. Once you are in the park, just park your car and ride the free shuttle around the valley floor. All of the Yosemite Hotels listed below are located less than one hour outside of Yosemite National Park. These hotels are great choices if you are coming |
into Yosemite on Highway 41, the south entrance.

TENAYA LODGE
The TENAYA LODGE AT YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK is
just outside of the park. Less than a 10 minute drive to the gate.
Inside, Tenaya Lodge's crackling fireplaces, exquisite cuisine, heated
pool and relaxing spa options set
the stage for comfort amidst Four-diamond luxury. The outdoor area is
great for snowshoeing, ice skating, cross-country skiing and sledding in
the winter. This fabulous hotel is just down the road from Yosemite's
Badger Pass Ski Resort. (This is my personal favorite of all the Yosemite hotels!)
Fish Camp is a small community just 2 miles outside of Yosemite. There are a couple of Yosemite Hotels in this charming community.

THE YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK GATE. YOSEMITE VALLEY IS ABOUT 45 MINUTES

COMFORT INN
Located 14 Miles South Of The Entrance To Yosemite National Park In Oakhurst, Calif., The Comfort Inn Provides economic accommodations to travelers visiting this magnificent natural wonder. The hotel is five miles from the Bass Lake. Nine miles from the Chuckchansi Casino and 14 miles from the southern entrance of Yosemite National Park. Before venturing out for the day, guests are served continental breakfasts, compliments of the hotel. There is a pool and fax service. Complimentary newspapers and copies of Yosemite Visitors Magazine are also provided. Guestrooms feature wireless internet access and cable television with premium movie channels. Additional amenities include coffeemakers, mini fridges and microwave ovens. Rooms with connecting doors for families or groups are available upon request.

BEST WESTERN YOSEMITE GATEWAY INN
Best Western Yosemite Gateway Inn,
is in Oakhurst, California. Located just 15 miles from the south
entrance of Yosemite National Park. The property has a park-like setting
nestled among live oak trees high on a hill in a tranquil mountain
setting with stunning views. It is an ideal setting for a family vacation or a romantic get away.
Bass Lake is only a 2 minute drive to Yosemite National Park south entrance. These homes are a very popular place to stay when reservations are hard to come by in Yosemite. There are many nice restaurants nearby too. The lake provides: boating, water-skiing, swimming and fishing activities. Fireworks go off over the lake every 4th of July.
