Yosemite Hikes
There are many Yosemite hikes to choose from here in Yosemite National Park. Hiking the Yosemite east valley floor is one that is easy, on the valley floor and pretty much shaded the entire way! Take this easy and mostly flat 2.6 hike. This is a great hike to push a stroller or walk with the kids on. Put on the mosquito repellent and bring some water with you.

This hike begins at Curry Village. Take the trail that runs in front of the snack bar/grocery store. Follow this trail and you will see the Curry Village parking lot on your left. The trail passes through the white canvas tents and curves right into a parking lot. Just to the left inside of the parking lot is a wide, unmarked trail. Take this trail, it is flat and well shaded. You will come upon a swampy area after about a mile of walking. Just follow the Merced river downstream. At this point, you will see great views of North Dome. You'll walk about another mile until you see the Yosemite horse stables. Once you at the horse stables, you will have a very nice view of upper Yosemite Falls. Continue your hike by following the road and walking over the bridge. The trail will walk you through Upper and Lower Pines Campgrounds. Follow signs back to Curry Village. Once you get back to Curry you will have completed the Yosemite East Valley Floor hike.
