Was the lost hiker found near Yosemite Falls?

We left the lodge at the falls on Saturday, July 17, 2010. On Friday evening, July 16, there was a lost hiker on his way to the falls, but he got off the path on the way. ("Hor hey" we were told the pronuncation of his Hispanic name) What happened?

When we were leaving, the search and rescue helicopter had been "looking" at the ridge for at least an hour. We need closure for our Yosemite experience.
