US Virgin Islands National Park
The US Virgin Islands National Park is absolutely beautiful! Located in the Caribbean Sea off of the state of Florida. Just 40 miles east of Puerto Rico and right in between the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. There are hundreds of islands off of the coast of Florida. Only four of these islands make up the Virgin Islands. They are Saint Thomas, Saint Croix, Saint John and the Water Island. There are two ways to get here. By sea planes and water ferries. The US Virgin Island National Park makes up most of Saint John and an island called, Hassel Island. Hassel Island used to be connected to Saint Thomas Island. Under the water there are huge mountain ranges and these islands are just the tips of the mountain ranges that lay below. When you fly in you'll land on the bigger island of Saint Thomas and then take a four mile boat ferry to Saint John. Saint John Island is a small 20 mile square island. It is seven miles long and three miles wide. The highest point on the island is Bordequx Mountain at 1,277 feet tall.
This US National Park has some of the best beaches in the world. The water is a beautiful turquoise with hues of blues and greens. The sand is a silky white and the water is clear and warm. The bays are well protected and the marine life is some of the best you will ever encounter. The weather is great year around but the best time to visit is anytime between December and April. There is so much to do once you are here.
