Traveling From The Bay Area

Hi There,
We are traveling from the San Fransisco Bay area and we rented a cabin in Midpines, California.
If we want to go first to
Mariposa Grove. What road should we take? Is it better to take 140 to Yosemite and then take 41 or 140 to 49 and then 41? How about going through Fresno first?
Thanks,
my email is: arekarchie@yahoo.com
See Kathy's Reply:You don't have to come as far south as Fresno. There is a short cut through Madera, California. That short cut will save you about 30 minutes. Total drive should be about 4.5 hours. Have fun!
