Pumpkin Spice Toddy

by DJ
(Minnesota)

When we are sitting around the camfire and it is cold outside we like our pumpkin spice toddy! This recipe is for one!

Ingredients:

4 Tablespoons of canned pumpkin pie mix (not pumpkin puree)

2 Ounces of cream

1/4 Ounce of unsweetened hazelnut syrup (the kind you put in coffee)

1 1/2 ounces of tequila

Shaved chocolate from a Hersey's candy bar

Mix the pumpkin pie mix, cream and hazelnut in a pot over the fire. Bring it to a light boil. Remove from the fire and add the tequila. Garnish with shaved chocolate.

Remember that alcohol dehyrates us quickly at higher elevations. But, it is a nice way to warm oneself up on a cold night in the mountains!
