Perfectly Fry Your Fish

by Mark Allen

As a chef, I am a stickler for fresh fish! I enjoy the outdoors and thought I would share a tip for anyone who wants to know how to fry up their fish perfectly...every time.

Pour your oil in your skillet and heat it up over your fire. Heat the oil up for about 10 minutes. Throw an unlit match into your pan of hot oil.

If the match spontaneously ignites...your oil is ready to cook your fish. You see if the oil heats up between 375 degrees and 400 degrees...it will ignite a match. This is perfect tempertature for cooking fish. It will allow the fish to be cripsy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside.
