Wrangelli St. Elias National Park In Alaska

Wrangell St. Elias National Park is often referred to as The Mountain Kingdom of North America. Mount St Elias is just over 18,000 feet tall. This is the second highest peak in the United States. This US National Park is six times the size of Yellowstone National Park. This is also the largest National Park of all the National Parks in the United States.

There are four major mountain ranges in this national park. Nine of the 16 highest US mountain peaks are here. Mount Wrangell is even the largest volcano in Alaska, and it is an active volcano.

Inside the boundaries of this national park is 9.6 million acres and countless rivers and streams.

Because of the remoteness of Wrangell St Elias, there are not the National Park typical crowds. It is estimated that there is 1 visitor for every 1 square mile of park.

The wildlife here is abundant. Moose, caribou and grizzlies are fully at home here. Come here if you are into hiking, fishing, photography, kayaking, skiing, natural beauty and glaciers.
