Sometimes, reservations fill up fast for lodging inside of Yosemite that people just cancel their vacation. There is no need to do that. There is several choices of lodging within a one hour drive of Yosemite.Highway 120 is one entrance into Yosemite. The two lodging choices below are within one hour drive to Yosemite's Valley. I have stayed in just about every Yosemite lodging choice and let me tell you, some will never give you a good nights sleep! To many people have slept on the mattresses and the community bathrooms and showers are enough to make you shiver! A one hour drive, with breath taking scenery, isn't a bad option. You can drive into the park and play all day. Hike a trail, float the river, ride a horse, shop the village, walk a meadow or take in the valley's famous sites. Then, get the car and go just outside the park to spend the night. Your fee to get into Yosemite is good for seven days. So you won't being paying an entrance fee every time you enter the national park. Food is cheaper outside the park too. Lodging In Groveland
