The List Of US National Parks And Where They are

We have a list of US National Parks. Look at the map to locate the National Park that you would like to visit. We have details of what to see and do at each park.

Each National Park is different than all the others. Each has something unique unto itself. All of them offer some great outdoor recreational opportunities. Some national parks like Yosemite, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon are very well known. However, some of the lesser known, and perhaps under appreciated, US National Parks have a lot to offer its visitors too.

Most of our national parks have some very recognizable landmarks. Each park has it own set of stories to tell. 58 parks spread throughout the United States. Most of us live within a days drive to at least one National Park. Take a look at some great parks on the national parks list and plan to visit one this year.

If you are interested in seeing waterfalls, I recommend you visit these parks:

Yosemite, Glacier, Haleakala, Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone and Cuyahoga Valley.

If you are interested in seeing some great trees, I recommend that you visit these parks:

Yosemite, Redwoods, Joshua Tree, Sequoia, Congaree and Saguaro.

If you are interested in seeing arches, I recommend that you visit these parks:

Arches, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Canyonland, Badlands and Capitol Reef.

If you are interested in seeing caves, I recommend that you visit these parks:

Mammoth Cave, Carlsbad Caverns, Wind Cave, Sequoia & Kings Canyon, and Great Basin.

If you are interested in seeing glaciers, I recommend that your visit these parks:

Glacier Bay, Kenai Fjords, Great Basin, Glacier, Wrangell - St Elias and North Cascades.

If you are interested in seeing an island, I recommend you visit these parks:

Channel Islands, isle Royale, Acadia, Biscayne, Theodore Roosevelt Island and Haleakala.

Sometimes, nature likes to provide moving works of art. The following parks have changing landscapes.

Crater Lake, White Sands and Great Sand Dunes.
