Get The Perfect Hiking Pack For You

If your looking for a hiking pack you have come to the right place. First, lets teach you how to get measured for the right hiking backpack.

You Are Guaranteed To Get A Perfect Fit If You Follow These Instructions

Get a soft measuring tape. Get a friend to measure you...you will not be able to do this alone! Tilt your chin as far down as you can. Your C7 vertebra at the base of your neck will now protrude. This knob marks the top of your torso measurement.

Grab your love handles. Then use your thumbs to feel for the top of your hipbones. Draw an imaginary horizontal line across your back between your thumbs. Where this line crosses your spine is the bottom of your torso measurement.

Now have your friend drape the tape from top to bottom (C7 to the point on your spine). This is your personal measurement. Most adults have a torso length between 16 and 22 inches.

Putting It On Your Back

Now when you are putting on a backpack, the bottom of the pack should curve snugly in the small of your back. The weight should feel evenly distributed between shoulders and hips and the shoulder straps should hug your shoulders with no gaps at the top.

Take 4 minutes and watch the video below on picking the perfect pack
