The airport is on the east side of Fresno. I recommend that if you fly into Fresno in the evening, you stay the night so that you can see Yosemite during the daylight hours. Yosemite National Park Location Compared To Fresno To get to Yosemite National Park, you must drive. The airplane, the bus nor the train will take you directly into Yosemite National Park. It is a two hour beautiful drive to Yosemite from Fresno California. The last hour is on a well maintained curvy mountain road. Highway 41 North will take you directly from city Fresno into Yosemite National Park. This is the south entrance into Yosemite. This route will also give you the breathtaking tunnel view of Yosemite.  Fresno Weather Get A Car Rental Current Gas Prices Gas is typically 10 cents a gallon cheaper in Fresno than it is in Yosemite.
