Channel Islands Of California

A set of five islands make up this National Park called Channel Islands of California. The five islands are the Anacapa Island, the Santa Cruz Island, the Santa Rosa Island, the San Miguel Island and the Santa Barbara Island.

These islands are not crowed with your usual national parks crowds of people. The islands are great for camping, hiking and those who charish the outdoors. Uncrowded white sand beaches, whale watching, bird watching, surfing, kayaking, canoeing, scuba diving, dophin watching, fishing and photography are the main activities to do here.

There are no hotels on any of the islands, just tent camping. Lodging from the shores of southern California is readily available. A couple of hours to a day on each island is sufficient time to take in this natural conservatory and national park.
