Backpacking Tarps
Below are the latest and greatest camping and backpacking tarps. Sometimes when people go backpacking or camping, they want to take the least amount of things that they have to. A tent can be bulky and can be heavy. Tent poles can be cumbersome, to say the least. That's where a simple, sturdy tarp becomes the best solution.
There are no sides to a tarp. They are lightweight (most are pound or less) and they are easy to set up and take down. Just fold them up when your ready to put them away, they don't take up much room.
A tarp will protect you from sun, rain and wind. There is no need to worry about poles, because there just aren't any. Just stake the corners down and if you can, set it up near trees. A little bit of covering out in the wilderness will keep you protected if an unexpected rain comes. You'll have room to cover yourself and your stuff. Tarps can also be used to cover the ground, block wind or cover firewood. They are very versatile, that it is not uncommon for campers and backpackers to have two tarps.
Tarps come in different sizes and different shapes. These tarps are thick and sturdy and will last your for years to come. Just choose the size of tarp that will best fit your needs and your ready to hit the trails or campgrounds.
