Yosemite-National-Park-Map And Directions To Yosemite National Park

Below are directions and a Yosemite-National-Park-Map. Looking at a map of California, you will find Yosemite in the middle of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. There are three ways to enter Yosemite National Park. There is:

~The South Enterance on Highway 41. Going this route you will pass through the cities of Oakhurst and Fish Camp. From the park gate to the valley is 45 minutes. The elevation on this route climbs 3,000 to 6,000 feet. You will pass by the Wawona Hotel and Pioneer Village. This route give you the beautiful tunnel view that is on all the postcards!

~The Highway 140 Arch Rock Enterance. From the city of Merced to Yosemite is about 80 miles. On this route you will go through the cities of Mariposa and El Portal. From the gate to the valley is about 20 minutes.

~Big Oak Flat Enterance on Highway 120. From the city of Modesto to Yosemite is 88 miles. You will pass through the cities of Groveland and Big Oak Flat. The elevation climbs from 3,000 to 6,000 feet. From the gate to the valley is 30 minutes.




San Francisco/Bay area will come in through the Big Oak Flat Enterance. Distance: 195 miles Time:4 hours Take I-580 east to I-205 east to Highway 120 east into Yosemite National Park. Follow this Yosemite-National-Park-Map and you will be here in no time at all!

Los Angeles area will come in on the South Enterance on Highway 41. Distance: 313 miles Time: 6 hours Take I-5 north to Highway 99 to Fresno. In Fresno, take Highway 41 north into Yosemite National Park. Once your in Fresno you have 2 hours to go!

Las Vegas will come in through the Big Oak Flat Enterance on Highway 120. June through October , conditions permitting Distance: 350 miles Time: 7 hours Look at the map and take I-15 west to Barstow; Highway 58 west to the junction with US 395; go north on US 395 to near Lee Vining; take Highway 120 west into Yosemite National Park (open late May/early June through October, depending on conditions).

November through May you will come in through the South Enterance on Highway 41. Distance: 495 miles Time: 9 hours Take I-15 west to Barstow; Highway 58 west to Bakersfield; take Highway 99 north to Fresno. Once in Fresno, take Highway 41 north into Yosemite National Park. Follow these Yosemite-National-Park-Map directions and you will not get lost!

Reno & Lake Tahoe will come in through the Big Oak Flat Enterance on Highway 120. June through October , conditions permitting Distance: 218 miles (Reno) Time: 5 hours Take US 395 south to Lee Vining; take Highway 120 west into Yosemite National Park (open late May/early June through October, depending on conditions).

November through May you will come in through the Big Oak Flat Enterance on Highway 120. Distance: 315 miles (Reno) Time: 8 hours Look at the map and take I-80 or I-50 west to Sacramento; take Highway 99 south to Manteca. In Manteca, take Highway 120 east into Yosemite National Park.

Death Valley National Park you will come in through the Big Oak Flat Enterance on Highway 120. June through October Distance: 270 mi / 435 km Time: 5 hours Take Highway 190 west to US 395. Take US 395 north to Lee Vining; take Highway 120 east into Yosemite National Park (open late May/early June through October, depending on conditions).

November through May you will come in through the South Enterance on Highway 41. Distance: 450 mi Time: 9 hours Look at the map and take Highway 190 west to US 395; take US 395 south to its junction with Highway 14. Take Highway 14 south to Mojave. In Mojave, take Highway 58 to Bakersfield. From Bakersfield, head north on Highway 99 to Fresno. In Fresno, take Highway 41 north and in 2 hours your will be in the Park and you will have followed your Yosemite-National-Park-map correctly!
